Footloose & Fancy opened in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1975 as the third Birkenstock retailer in the United States. For 48 years, Footloose & Fancy has been providing footwear and accessories with comfort and style. Lincolnites haven't been coming to Footloose & Fancy for just a great pair of shoes, they come for the experience to find the perfect fit. We pride ourselves on a lost tradition of sit-and-fit which allows our staff to provide each customer with personal attention and ensuring a comfortable fit and experience.

In 2012, Footloose & Fancy introduced outdoors & lifestyle apparel at THREADS downtown at 12th & P. Offering high-quality apparel, accessories and footwear to cover you from head to toe making you ready for work, the gym or play. Check out our Brands page for a full listing of brands offered in-store. These brands also incorporate the "do good, be good" philosophy, by being environmentally-friendly, giving back to their communities and creating organizations that benefit the greater good.

If you are local, we would love to see you in the store soon! If you aren't from Nebraska, we are so glad you found us. We launched our web store in April of 2020 and have received orders from across the country. When you order from our website, you are purchasing from a brick and mortar store with 5 total employees. We are thrilled that our online business is growing and are learning more each day about how to be the most efficient with our website. Please be patient with us as we learn and grow!

In November of 2022, we moved our storefront to our own building at 1222 P St. It is just across the street from our previous location (easy move!) and is located between Swanson Russell and Cadillac Apartments. Our new store is double the size and absolutely beautiful. Stop in and shop and even grab a drink at our bar-yes we got our liquor license!
